Long time…No Post
Hey Guys and gals, it’s been a long time since I’ve posted. So, I figured I would post a quickpress…Be authentic! Don’t be phony. Be true to who you are always. None of us are perfect but we should strive to do all that we do (in action & conversation) to please God. It doesn’t matter whether what we are doing, saying, or thinking is visible or audible to someone else. The thing that matters most is that ALL things are visible and known by God Almighty. If we live our lives continually with an aim to please Him, then we would not need to be phony or have to front, but we would be authentic and real.
Welcome Back Tigers!
It’s officially begun — Academic year 2010-2011! Alright young Tigers, let’s stay focused in the classroom and on living the Christian Life. We are here, if you needed. So, Don’t go AWOL in your walk with Christ! Let’s keep it moving FORWARD! God Bless!
Are You Changing the Culture or Is the Culture changing You?
We are on a college campus and anyone who has ever attended a college (traditionally) knows that there is a lot of things to get into on a college campus (and many of them bad). I wonder how many Christian’s come to college with the mission in mind to not only get their college degree, but to influence, impact, and change the culture around them for Christ. Some of us came to college excited about the new friendships we would make and the new experiences we would have, but forgot to include God in the equation of it all. Others came to college completely conscious of God in their lives, desiring to maintain a close relationship with Christ personally, but not really possessing passion to share God with others. In which category do you fall? Maybe the culture hasn’t changed you, but have you changed it? I submit for consideration that it is good but not enough to grow personally in God; avoiding the negative influences that surround you, but letting others continue to live in oblivion. Instead, we must strive to share the wonderful message of the Gospel of Christ with as many as we can. I encourage to not only let your light shine, but to let your mouth open when presented the opportunity and share the good news about our Saviour. Change the culture through how you live before others and how you love them (yes!), but also through what you say. It’s not a secret — don’t keep it to yourself!

Hey there, this is Pastor Sheri
I am excited that you are checking out our blog page. Let’s create a community of believers that are absolutely in love with Christ — yet young, hip, and unique in our identity — totally comfortable with being who God created us to be! Let’s blog about our ideals, our struggles, submit prayer requests, and engage in Christ-conscious dialogue with each other. This blog serves as a means for us to express ourselves, to find answers to questions we have, and to cultivate a community for Christ on the campus of Savannah State University and beyond!
